How these were written

Why you can check every claim on these pages

Comparison pages written by a competitor deserve suspicion, so here is exactly what we did and what we refused to do, in enough detail that you can catch us if we slipped.

No competitor prices anywhere in the writing. Pricing pages are noisy and they rot. One rival’s page surfaced ten different dollar figures in a single visit. A stale price is the most screenshotted kind of wrong, so where money matters to a decision it is described in shape, a month or a day, rather than in dollars.

Structural facts only. Does it need an account before you see an export. Does the free tier watermark. Does it caption word by word. Those change roughly once a year, which means a page written today is still true next quarter.

What we did not verify says so. Cells read not checked instead of guessing. There is no version of a comparison table where inventing a No about somebody else is acceptable.

Which Shorts tool has the best free tier?
They are different shapes rather than different sizes, which is why comparing them by size gives the wrong answer. Vid2Shorts gives one watermarked Short every day, permanently, with no account for the first one. Submagic gives a fixed number of free videos. Vizard gives a credit allowance that exports at 720p. OpusClip gives a clip a day behind an account. 2short gives a monthly allowance of analysis minutes with every feature unlocked. quso.ai lets every import source work on its free plan. Spikes watermarks its free plan and says so in its own FAQ. SendShort opens at a paid plan instead. If you post occasionally, a permanent daily allowance suits you. Is there a Shorts maker that works without signing up?
As of August 2026, Vid2Shorts is the only tool on this page that will export a finished Short before you make an account. Every other one asks you to register first. That is a reasonable business decision on their part and it is a slow way to answer the only question that matters early, which is whether the reframing survives your particular footage.
Do any of these have a music visualizer?
Only Vid2Shorts, which was the most surprising result of checking all ten. Every other tool here, including Descript, which is by some distance the largest and most capable product on the list, is built around a person talking. If part of what you post is a track on screen, artwork pulsing with the bass and lyrics appearing as they are sung, that is a category of video the other nine cannot make.
Which of these supports Arabic captions?
Several of them localise their own interface into Arabic, which is a different thing from rendering an Arabic caption correctly onto a video. We found no documentation of right to left caption rendering on any of them, so the table marks that not checked rather than claiming they lack it. Vid2Shorts ships four Arabic faces with proper right to left rendering, which means the text reads correctly rather than arriving reversed or with the letters disconnected.
Can I switch tools without redoing my work?
Yes, and this is the most useful thing on the page. Every tool here outputs the same thing, a 1080 by 1920 MP4, so nothing locks you in except your own templates and habits. Testing a second tool costs you one video, not a migration, which is why we would rather you tried two than believed one comparison table, ours very much included.
Are these comparisons biased?
We wrote them, so treat them the way you would treat any comparison written by a competitor. What we have done to earn some of that back: every page leads with what the other tool is better at, none of them quote competitor prices because those rot, every structural claim was read off their own live page on a dated visit, and anything we did not verify is marked as not checked rather than guessed.
